A Word of Intention

Sometimes a single word can be such a powerful compass. It can give direction when you’re feeling lost and it can remind you of your aspirations, values and strengths, helping you to regain your footing and find your way.

At the beginning of 2017, I chose ‘simplicity’ as my word of intent for the year. I returned to it again and again. Each time I did, it brought a sense of lightness, clarity and ease, often at times when I was over-thinking or over-doing. Difficult situations suddenly felt easier, my load lighter. How often we over-complicate things.

My word for 2018 is ‘courage’. It’s a powerful intention carrying real inner strength. I know I have courage, but I want to remember I know I have courage. I want to be able to dig deep and make full use of it. Who knows what 2018 will bring, but I know there are challenges ahead of me, including a three month long hospital inpatient neuro-rehabilitation programme. Drawing upon the courageous warrior within me will help me open to the unknown. Who knows where it might take me?

What’s your word of intention for 2018? Or maybe it’s a colour, a quote or a picture that resets your inner compass?

    1. That’s a great word and it fits in nicely with ‘appreciation’, which you also suggested xx

    1. Hi Claire, so lovely to hear from you and to know that the blog is helping you. I find the forums too much too – this is a better way of sharing for me. I’d be very happy to chat about our rehab. How about sending me a private message via the Conciously Connected Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/liveconsciouslyconnected/)? Wishing you well xx
